On September 20th, 2009 the lights went dim, the projector screen became illuminated with a soft white glow, and objects of mechanical nature began zooming in and out of sight. A droning synth and hypnotic beat enveloped the room while a single soul stood at the helm of this ship, commanding and controlling this mesmerizing phenomenon. No I am not describing a romanticized alien abduction, I’m only crudely sketching the beggining of PRELUDE; the first ever Connectedness Locus live performance. As the show proceeded the audience stood transfixed while gazing at images of unknown insects and far away worlds. Before we knew it, it was over. There was never and introduction, no applause breaks, just complete and total immersion. It was a very successful first show by anyone’s standards.
